Nursing and Clinical Facilities

The CRF can provide researchers with the clinical infrastructure necessary to conduct high-quality research.

Our team of skilled research nurses can offer:

  • Meticulous implementation of protocol procedures
  • Accurate data and specimen collection
  • Accurate recording and documentation of procedures
  • Assistance with screening, questionnaires etc

CRF research nurses can also provide assistance with study design and trial coordination. All research will be conducted in a GCP environment in accordance with the CRFs comprehensive standard operating procedures. Our nurses are exclusively employed for research duties and activities associated with clinical research.

  • On-site laboratory
  • ECG Facilities
  • Delmar Reynolds - 24/7 days Holter Monitoring
  • Overnight Stay

All applications to use the Glasgow CRF should be made using the application form.

Conference Facilities

The CRF can provide conferencing facilities, including videoconferencing and teleconferencing. Conferencing can be facilitated by provision of:

  • Flip Charts
  • Large Display Board
  • Projector and Screen
  • Laptop

Inpatient Facilities

The CRF has the capacity to accomodate overnight studies. The overnight area can be staffed by qualified registered nurses on a 24 hour basis and provide:

  • Full bedside monitoring equipment for the investigator
  • A full emergency resuscitation service
  • Full catering facilities to provide hot and cold meals throughout the participants' stay

Outpatient Facilities

The CRF has out-patient rooms that are equipped to a high standard and can be organised to suit investigators/study requirements.

Reception Areas

The facility offers a full reception function for research projects, this will include:

  • Reception covered 8:00am - 8pm (Eve/wk by prior arrangement)
  • Arranging appointments and tracking participant notes
  • Booking participants into the facility
  • Providing participants with a visit schedule
  • Monitoring participant movement throughout the facility from arrival to departure
